Irena Victoria King, PhD, is a medical engineer, neuroscientist, and founder of Surgicure Technologies, a MedTech company focused on improving airway management and reducing device-related complications. Her work is grounded in clinician-informed design and spans both civilian healthcare and battlefield medicine, with collaborations involving the U.S. Army and leading research institutions. In addition to leading Surgicure, Irena has held roles across academic research, clinical innovation, and healthcare strategy, including work at the Alzheimer’s Vaccine Research Center and as a consultant at McKinsey & Company.
