Lukas Peintner, PhD is co-founder and general manager at Science2Capital GmbH in Innsbruck, Austria, where he supports VC givers to assess the scientific and regulatory status of life science investments. Beside that he works for MED-EL as Clinical Research Manager, to assist development of innovative medical technologies by translating user and clinical requirements into research and product development strategies. He holds BSc and MSc degrees in Biology from the University of Innsbruck and completed his PhD at the Medical University of Innsbruck and the University of South Australia as part of the Molecular Cell Biology and Oncology graduate programme. His doctoral research focused on the regulation of B- and T-cell lymphoma development. Prior to starting Science2Capital, Lukas worked as Business Development Manager at Minaris Regenerative Medicine, Project Manager within the German Biosecurity Programme, and Research Assistant and Lecturer at the University of Freiburg. These roles provided extensive experience in translational research, advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMPs), international scientific collaborations, laboratory capacity building, and commercialization of cell and gene therapies. His research interests include regenerative medicine, immunology, advanced therapies, RRR, medical devices, biosafety and biosecurity, and the translation of scientific innovation into clinical practice. He has authored numerous scientific publications, coordinated international projects, and is recognized for bridging academic, clinical, and commercial perspectives to advance healthcare innovation.
